!!!!!!!!!!! Unbounded Adoration !!!!!!!!!!!!

N.B. - This is my attempt at short story. This is an apocryphal story and the plot has been modified so that no one gets scared . Something more close to true story was intended.

Whoa what a place to live in!” everybody exclaimed on having the first look at the facilities and the serene surrounding. Though none had the idea what it could turn out to be. It was indeed very pleasant equipped with gym, swimming pool, badminton court and a small but beautiful ground. Everything was well maintained but something was in the air that was deceptive. Months passed by however no one noticed anything mysterious. As it was the best place to live in the great industrial township of India. One easily forgot the distance that one was from his peers. Seasons came and the choice of sports shifted from one to another for all the residents of this small heaven.

The backside of hostel was the most happening place in this winter. Not because girls wing was on that part of hostel, but due to the game of badminton being played by groups of people, including the coach N. But of late people realized that something was fishy. There was something mysterious that nobody was talking about or afraid of revealing the truth if he knew it. People complained of seeing someone wandering about at midnight near the backside wall of the hostel among the trees. Even during badminton match for an instance I saw someone but didn’t paid any heed to it thinking as if I might be hallucinating.

But what few girls saw during last few midnights was really scary. They saw shadow of a woman walking near the boundary wall next to badminton court. Acting smartly, to avoid panic they narrated this incident secretly to the warden. The warden was also stunned to hear this and asked them not to spread the message to everyone. But the recent incident made everybody to inquire and think. A security guard was found fainted at the backside of hostel. He was put on duty after the complaint. What he narrated astonished everybody. Even he looked numbed and complained the same thing.

Soon the residents tried to inquire from the house owner who stayed next to the hostel. His house, the temple and the graveyard were in line with our back side boundary wall. An old clergyman with his wife and son lived there. They were the oldest resident of that place. He explained the whole story. He said he saw the same formation from last few years. Right from the day Aria died. She was a young woman being survived by her only son Sohan. Her only obsession was her child. She used to live in the shattered house in the middle of the ground with her only son. Forcefully her house was taken by some voluntary organisation. They sold that piece of land to a company for the construction of hostel. In lieu of which a job was guaranteed  in hostel and a house next to cleric house. Henceforth she used to work during daytime, while her son went to school.

It was his 10th birthday and she had guaranteed her a gift for the occasion. So he was also very happy and didn’t go to school that day. Instead he merrily played around in the hostel as she worked along. An unfortunate accident occurred which left everybody stunned. In the evening as Aria was searching Sohan, he was found dead at the backside of the hostel, with blood oozing out from his head. It seemed as if he slipped from the roof while playing. This left every one surprised and gloomy. The police seized the body for autopsy. She was there with the gift she promised but her son was no more. Each and every day were killing her from inside. He was her only reason for surviving till now after her husband’s death. Each day she would hold the gift and try to look for her son. In the backyard near the mango tree, his favorite spot but she would again return back. This continued for a week but she succumbed to the fatal mental shock. She could not tolerate any further and jumped off from the same roof. This incident is known to few.
The cleric further said :
“it shows the affection that a mother has for her child. She spends her entire life to give him every kind of joy bearing every pain. There is every possible reason in the world why a child feels most secure in the palms of her mother. That is the most authentic, undemanding care and affection one can ever get.”

Though many have seen someone walking through the grooves during the night after that incident. A shadow of a woman holding something in her hand. She would walk down the length of the back yard. From then some impression of a face develops on the back yard wall. The girls might have witnessed the same. Only after one tries to look with attention, one can notice this.
Though no one has seen someone in actual there.

***** IMMORTAL FEELINGS *******

N.B: Any relation with anyone living or dead is totally at reader’s behest. Don’t get personal n emotional. (Please.........)

She conveyed her feelings secretly gathering all her courage. He had no response to it. Only change was exchanging of true smiles every time they saw each other.

A day before vacation, it was raining incessantly in the morning. A feeble attendance turned up for the class. Even the number of teacher witnessed a shortfall that day. So the school ended an hour earlier. The dark thunderous clouds were looping all over the sky. However the rain had stopped for a while. So the boy hurriedly gathered his bicycle for his way home. It was a long journey way back home through the woods. The heavy rain started pouring again within minutes as he left.  So he stopped under the shade of the tree. The thunderstorm had drenched him to the skin.He saw her shivering and moving towards the shade for some protection. Even she was completely drenched.

They looked at each other shyly without exchanging a word. Seeing the brewing thunderstorm he offered her a lift on his cycle. She agreed to move ahead with him amidst the rain. Completely drenched they moved through the woods on the lonesome path. She could feel his warm breath on her neck as they moved ahead. The flex of his muscle touching her body as he paddled through captivated her thoughts. However they continued without exchanging a word. But the fire of love flared through their thumping hearts. Both of them could feel each other emotions even without uttering a word.

As Soon as they reached the façade of her home, he conveyed his response to the unanswered question. The question asked by her months ago gathering all her courage. She explained of her anxiety for the moment and planted a passionate gentle kiss on his cheek. Remaining speechless and holding each other hands, they kept on seeing each other. They wanted to talk to each other for long but were short of words now. The distant friendship had blossomed into love. Breaking the silence the boy promised to keep in touch during vacation as he was moving to LEH for visiting his parents.

Her family was out of town for a week. The loneliness was killing. However his voice on phone kept her some solace to her heart. For last two days she became restless as her calls remained unanswered.  Until this happened, the news of cloudburst destroying the LEH was being aired. Emergency helpline numbers were of no use. She kept on praying with her weeping heart in some hope for his survival. Suddenly she could hear some familiar voice calling her outside her house. Her prayers were answered as she saw him outside. She ran in his arms with her misty eyes. He explained that he had left LEH a day earlier before the disaster struck. Even he could not spend a day without seeing her. It was his feelings that saved him.

HALLUCINATORY TRUTH

N.B - Based on a partially true story. Any comparison with personal lives should be at own behest.

I could sense something unusual as the dawn was breaking. An acute pain coupled with thunderous cacophonous sound rattled my brain. Deemed it wisely to move out to have some fresh air. Everything was placid. The haunted streets created a sense of fear. Everything was stand still with no sign of life on the road. No sigh of relief for my mental condition. The mournful silence further deteriorated my mental & physical condition. Everything seemed an illusion and caused dizziness paralyzing my senses. However continued walking through the street beside the meandering river. Just after few footsteps through the desolate place, could hear the sniffling sound. Being frightened & gathering some courage I traced forward the amplifying crying sound. There was a lonesome girl weeping on a bench.. Some sort of apparition! On my first sight had an eccentric feeling of déjà vu. There was some uncanny familiarity. However my aberrant mental state provided me no assistance in recognizing her.
I approached her to know the cause of grief . What was she doing alone in this isolated place? She got even more feared and was adamant of breaking her silence. After persisting obligingly for some time, slowly she stopped weeping and started muttering her sorry story in an undertone.

Her initial words seemed incoherent. Her name was ……. She deeply loved one of his school mates. But never approached him ought of fear. She would spend long hours thinking about him. Once she gathered all her courage and disclosed her feelings for him. There was no reply. Like strangers they carried on. The only visible change was sharing of a smile on seeing each other. She heard something from his friends. Of late that even he developed some feelings for her. However he didn’t want to embarrass her publicly and lacked fortitude to convey his response to him. However her parents were adamant on the decision of her marriage. As it was considered taboo for a girl to be single at her age in the society they were living in. Her affection was so deep that she could not even think of anyone else. Hence following her heart she was left with no choices. The only viable option was to flee away or SUIC…
As the shades of night were getting lighter, I was interrupted by a call from home and moved away a bit to attend it. As soon as the call ended I turned back, to my dismay found the bench vacant. She seemed to flee away by the fear of being recognized by hordes of morning walkers in an isolated place.

So even I left towards home with my sub conscious mind. Still thinking of where had I saw her? Am I connected to her in some way? Many questions started revolving around my already shattered brain. As I grasped the daily local newspaper and peeked through, I got shivers through my already numbed body. The headline reported of a suicide in the nearby colony bearing the photo of the same girl. She attempted suicide last night in lieu of respect for her love, who happened to be my closest friend. Soon everything got clear .  I fainted then & there itself and have no clues of the aftermath.

!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE WEEKENDS !!!!!!!!!!

The college life is over it seems. We have just had a partial peek into the professional life lying ahead for us. The disciplined 8 – 6 life enervates you as the sun sets. Truly speaking from my perspective as of now everything seems gloomy and dark (darker than coal).
There could not have been better start for the week from my perspective (ONLY MY). Though even i boycott such malpractices that disturbs our economy so much. The BHARAT bandh meant no class for the first half of the day. The notorious mind would not have left us so easily. Some mysterious OCTO FUSS Paul is always after us. We wouldn’t be left behind with a paid working day without attending lectures. They arranged for a series of lecture in our hostel itself after the lunch break. (OOOoops this is 2 much). It was truly funny to watch some serious mates who were wearing safety shoes also for attending the lecture delivered at their footstep. (LOL- for attending safety & env classes).
The next day was even worse but there was some respite as it was at SNTI. As I had my lovely sleeping space at the last row. The classes were of 1 hour each of COC- code of conduct followed by a series of lecture on first aid & vigilance department case studies. As if we were toddlers who are just ignorant of such practices and values in professional life. The only lecture on steel manufacturing process was the best we had till now during the first 2 days. Thereof we had our guided works visit of LD shop, COKE PLANT, B.Furnace.
We were inundated with weeklong printed schedule thereafter. The lectures from all senior managers & V.P. The training classes begun from thursday. Every class mocks us with the message:
“MISMATCH ERROR – w.r.t engg specialization & current employment industry”
Every lecture begins with a note: “How many of you are METALLURGIST here”?
I didn’t knew that metallurgy was so boring. During our college we thought that METALLURGY was all about that KALA KITAB (v.j.singh). hahhaha.
The week long classes were all concerned with briefing us with iron, coal (!#@#%^^$#*%$^@ - SEEMED Absurd barring a few lectures) the sole necessity of the steel industry. The lectures were delivered by the masters of the subject with loads of experience in respective fields. Unlike college classes the scenario here was a bit different. We were all neophytic dumb ass hole listening to some serious discussion. Some left us with no idea of what we witnessed i.e. heard or seen about during that confined duration.
One of the innumerable bone of contention in the system that needed some discussion among the infifnite reforms. The new proposed identification medium of RFID.  I was happy as it sounded something high-tech for the first time. I reacted: WOW now that is some exciting stuff of prestige for being an engineer. Though didn’t heard or knew the full form of it. All that excitement vanished in a phew when I typed RFID on the Google. Disgusting we were to be traced of our every coordinates with the radio frequency I card. It was truly unethical for an organisation which scheduled a 2 hour lecture on ethics. Even the Indian players rejected such WADA clause earlier this year.
However finally I could summarise this week as a bit interesting. Since we had some more wee hour at our behest. We were again back with Pandeyji who gave us a jalebi treat. Few stuff like dinner with MD are lined up for the week ahead. Surely, the training provided by SNTI is gradually turning a bit interesting with a mix of requisite fun and work.
The fortunate 1.5 day weekend brought a light smile to me.
(Hope the same for the others GUYS (with whom i have only a slight interaction) n GALS (0000000).

CORPORATE WORLDs - Honour Killing

DAY 1 -- ON THE JOB

Yet another case of HONOR KILLING though would not find an inch on PRINT OR SCREEN MEDIA. Usually H.Killing is associated with some family controversy and feeble mindset of illiterate class of people. However this time hordes of to be professional were being tortured and mentally killed by some literates people of the global organisation. It was beyond imagination that the start of the new life would be so long, irritating and annoying on the very first day. The incident deserves more than the nationwide hue and cry over the condemnation of such atrocities being practised in workplace.
The day started off as per schedule for some event at SNTI. However our bus driver had different plan for us it seemed. He took us to XLRI which was unfortunately the wrong destination as per his instructions. He was instructed to take us to SNTI. The result was our running behind of schedule by about 20 minutes. On arriving we received our starters kit with loads of stationery items, a novel and ....... This was again preceded by a live MD ONLINE program being aired live on the screen. The program was a live interaction program of all the national and international divisions of the GLOBAL king in steel making. This engrossed us to a gentle slumber for about 75% of the AV. Further we proceeded for filling of the joining formalities. Though it was something more than more lengthy than formalities. It took us more than an hour filling own and family details umpteen number of times. Some questions were raised like
Why on earth was the carbon paper invented?
Does the persons self and family details changes from one form to other.
Filling every form twice was excruciating and worsened the situation. Finally the whole procedure left us with only 1 hour for lunch as we again had to report at SNTI for post lunch (FORM) session.
The same underwhelming story being repeated again barring a new form being handed over to us again. This was the worst of  all forms. As it asked for brief description of interests, qualities of a good mentor and other blah blah..... This was done to know us better and provide us a mentor most appropriate to us. Don’t know how could one judge anyone with these details which was motivated from the person next to him or her for maximum number of poor spirits like me out there. A person like me whose sole interest, hobby, quality is to sleep.  Further after light refreshment again there was nothing to do except for filling those bloody bank account forms. In the mean time few of our mates were inside the auditorium enjoying the ac. They took their own time to come and fill those bank forms. We were ready to go back abiding by the schedule and on time. However only few of us seemed interested in going back as no one was there on the bus. After waiting period of about 30 minutes few others came and the bus moved towards destination leaving the girls and few others behind in the SNTI.

Truly the whole process on the very first day Su%#$%$. Everyone of us were lethargic and lackadaisical after the long, boring and annoying day. This was the whole story of first day. Hope there could be some remedy for getting away from those irritating forms in days to come. So that the future batches could be relieved of such situations on the very first day of one of the most event full day of their career.

Its beyond expectation that such perfidious act could be practised by the organisation or this is what the corporate world is all about?

VIVA-VOCE - Mother of ALL Hilarious Examinations

One of the best moments to be relished of the 4 years of college life was the VIVA–VOCE (VOCAL EXAMINATION OF COOL IDIOTS LIKE US). These were the confidence booster for lesser mortals like us who are Engg with a difference. Most innovative, stupendously nonsensical and hilarious answers to questions related to unknown topics were most enjoyable. We frequently found ourselves amidst topics of which we knew absolute 00000. Some user friendly teachers who would explain the answer themselves to the question asked.
However my style had been to remain away from the teacher and have minimum eye contact. So that it was unknown that I was also a part of the group. It was better to be quiet than to give ludicrous answer. I loved those satirical remarks of the professor.
The team work as always pays in viva voce. Certain people often tend to disturb the harmony of the team. There are team members of different kinds who can be categorized as follows:
  • People who would like to interrupt others in the group mates – you have to protect yourself from such mates as they try to gather maximum attention of the panel, thus diverting the whole panel on themselves. However such assholes prove handy for people like us who always tend to give absurd answers.
  •   People who blindly follow the principle :
“SILENCE IS THE SOLUTION TO ANY INNER QUEST”
They just like to keep quiet. They are the most ideal group mates who keep calm, cool inside the room. Their feel too dignified to answer a fool. Every question seems to be foolish to them. One has to be cautious of such partners as the question gets diverted to the person beside him.
  •       People who make gestures dancing their fingers around. Sometimes shows the middle finger in between to the panel. They embellish the vocal examination via their presence. They can simulate the working of a turbine; parts of boiler, even describe stresses with their hands. You require some extraordinary courage to do such rubbish, absurd things in front of teachers. The thing to be noted is that they do these wizardly things with confidence. Of which Khujju remarks:
“KUCH LATPATA RAHA THA WHO HATH SE AISE-AISE”
They are an embodiment of grit & determination of giving persistently wrong explanation. They also give justification to their wrong answers.
  • People who speak the questions asked to them only. These are the modest people who do not interrupt unless and until a direst question is asked or if the question gets passed it on them. They are too straight & simple. They are not known for their coruscating wit.
  •        People with good command over English. They would speak too fast with such an accent that the panel also gets confused and thinks the answer is right. They are an asset to a group as panel rarely asks question to such group as they know they would not be able to understand anything. They bamboozle the examiner with their words.
  •       People whom teachers knows. Such group is also saved as all tough questions get diverted to him. The group members suffer in terms of marks owing to him. Sometimes the teacher remark: “YOU SHOULD ANSWER THIS, YE TOPPER LIKE QUESTION HAI”.
  •      People who get tensed each & every time. They would know the precisely detailed description of everything related to topic (if discussed in hostel). But they tend to stammer and inter mingle everything known to them when they speak in front of panel.
  •     Finally the category of few peoples who visit the teacher after the viva voce. To discuss the question asked to them during the 5 minute period. Such act of flattery rarely helps. As Ravi (Murga) chuckles on BHU by saying: “SAALA DH….. LIYA”.
These are the various kinds of people I have known throughout my B.Tech period. Even I fall in more than one of the categories. There can be a few more categories of people around.
I remember one of the most comic remarks from 1st year V-V. Where the Prof was patiently listening to my explanation for about 5 minutes after which he said when i stopped.
“TUMNE JO ANSWER DIYA WO TOH 100% SE BHI JYADA GALAT THA”.
We would always try to distribute ourselves in such a way that we are farthest from the teacher. As the person in front has to face maximum question. The asking of question from the f"ellow mates as soon as they come out from the hall. The frustration on the teachersby saying
“SAALA !@!@$#$!@%$%, ##!#$#^*&^, #@#%5%$%, ….. hai. Hum jo bole who 100%  sahi tha.”

I really enjoyed such moments. Put in your experiences from your memories. I am sure everyone would have faced numerous such incidents (accident) during their Engg. Period.

I would cherish those 15 minute memories for long time.

Irritated-Frustrated-Bored-Annoyed-Confused

I have been just released for mental hospital a day before. My dysfunctional brain got crushed by the atmospheric pressure. I have lost my senses and am an insane suffering from identity crisis. Bored for long and in dearth of thoughts to write. I tried to recall the news heard, read, seen unintentionally during past few days. So presenting whatever I scribbled through my 1 byte memory left. Trying to brief up the whole story witnessed so far.

As usual the fearless of all Indian enemies MAOIST, NAXALITE playing commonwealth games with INDIA transport system. Initially starting from Dantewada (bus), then moving on to Gyaneshwari express(train) disaster and many more such incident waiting in queue. PLAYING WITH RED FOR THE CELEBRATION OF BLACK (week). Indian government has found their own home grown terrorist who tries best to keep the population under control (accelerated mortality rate - dreadful carnages), thus serving the nation in the best possible way. Maoist friendly UPA government without any answer to nuisance are busy celebrating their anniversary in the cabinet. The table top runway Manglaore airport being overshot and had an accident leading to loss of 158 life along with 8 miraculous escapes. The media heckling 24 x 7 X 3 for the unfound black box of the charred plane. Once the black box was found all news of crash stopped floating on the screen. Media shifting their focus to respective correspondent. Claiming themselves to be first to show BB being found with the exclusive footage. How brave were they to show that BB was still not found instead of helping to search BB among debris. As if a one man army of intrepid explorer. Still good for nothing.

Steve Jobs vs BILL Gates competition continues. MS being toppled by Apple (the father to I phone). An engineer’s lifeline FB banned in Pakistan & Bangladesh. Biggest threat to a company’s management – Labour Laws creating havoc to Chinese I phone manufacturing company FOXCONN (10 suicides in protest). The hoopla and the media galore over KITES from last year. All proving ephemeral. I think even I could write such films script. (hehehehe) The topsy turvy Jharkhand government back in action. COAL THEIF, unhonorable Chief Minister Shibu Soren unwilling to part his throne. Showcasing the result of distributed mandate. Some force full MMS scandal that leads to suicide and suspension. The cops bringing shame to the whole protectionist body of Indian government. The results of budding students being declared with success stories along with the photographs. ECLIPSING the whole of newspaper for 3 days after respective result.

Pakistan as usual facing challenges as they are not able to keep up with the mortality rate due to fewer blast in last fortnight. Most recent Lahore bomb blast killing only 62. Facebook adding some unknown security features. Google displaying the best doodle ever on Packman 30th anniversary. Sensex playing its sensitive game with maximum volatility and checking endurance thus floundering the always roaring traders. WHY CANT I PLAY TENNIS. I can cause upsets (to myself). Roland Garros back in action with no upsets till now. READY FOR RAFA – NADAL clash again IN FINALS. Indian youngistann team carrying on with the seniors loosing streak of T20 to ODI AGAINST UNDERDOG Zimbabwean team.
That’s all for weeks news .SIGNING OFF
World’s first mentally retarded News reporter – RKS.
